CRISPY GARLIC CHICKEN THIGHS

crispy chicken
Ingredients
  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs (5-6 pieces)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 large garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1.5 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Chardonnay or other dry white wine

Here’s my favorite no-prep way to cook skinless, boneless chicken thighs. However, if I have time, I like to marinate the thighs for more flavor.

SERVES: 4 I PREP: 3–5 MINUTES I COOK: 10 MINUTES

Prepare chicken—Sprinkle each side of the chicken with the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Fry chicken—Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the thighs in the skillet, smooth-side down, and press down lightly on them with a spatula. Cook for 5 minutes until deep golden and crispy.

Flip the chicken and again press lightly with a spatula. Cook for 2 minutes.

Sauce—Add the garlic and butter, cook for 1 minute until the garlic is light golden and smells amazing.

Add the wine, then turn up the heat so the wine is simmering. Stir around the chicken to

dissolve the golden bits stuck on the bottom of the skillet into the wine. Simmer rapidly for 1 ½ minutes or until the alcohol smell evaporates.

Serve—Remove from the heat and transfer the chicken to serving plates. Rest for 3 minutes, drizzle with the pan sauce, and serve!

EVERY RECIPE IS A HIT!
Ive loved every recipe from the website so I had to get the book - I am NOT disappointed!! I am working my way through the book and everyone has been a success. I d be hard pressed to choose a favorite, but Ive made the butter chicken and the Korean pancakes twice now so those are definite contenders. My favorite from the site is the Vietnamese caramelized pork, which is in the book. Ive made that dish a good dozen times! For dinner tonight, we are having the nachos. My goal is to try all the recipes! This book is worth every penny.
MOUTHWATERING RECIPES
My wife just purchased this recipe book and insisted on rating it and leaving a review before we even received the book! We discovered Nagi s website last week while looking for easy yet delicious recipes and my wife has been hooked on it ever since! In one week she tried the Chicken Soup which turned out DIVINE, the Cottage Pie which came out DELICIOUS and the Potatoes Au Gratin which I honestly don t even have the right word to describe how good that recipe came out! In 16 years since we ve been married, I ve never seen my wife so geeked out about cooking! We obviously had to get on here and show our support and express our gratitude towards a great chef for sharing her wonderful recipes with us! Thank you Nagi!
Great recipes
I love this cookbook so much, Nagi explains things so clearly. The recipes are simple and not a lot of special ingredients. I gave mine to my daughter to look at and decided to let her keep it and bought another one!

Every single recipe that I ve tried has been excellent. I usually tweak recipes a bit - no need. Instructions are simple and well written. Ingredients are mostly things that I already have on hand, and when they re not, they re easy to find. Looking forward to her next cookbook - but her blog is great too.
Great cookbook!
Every recipe I ve tried has been a hit. Also, very easy to follow. The only thing I would suggest is putting the nutrition info - I have to refer to the Internet to get this info for my food diary. Great for if you re trying to lose weight but want tasty meals.
Nice Chinese cooking book
I like this cooking instruction book. I am happy to embark in learning new technique's in preparing Chinese foods and I'm looking for foods that are simple to prepare, I found this book. As a beginner in Asian cooking, I found that this charming, informative book fulfills my needs.
